The music is itself the luminosity
The air filled with vibration
A home of life enhancing sensory experience
That reaches out of the hall into the city

“To have a Frank Gehry designed concert hall in Wimbledon would be a total transformation of London concert life. It would have a global effect. With these buildings the influence goes way beyond the art form.”

Esa-Pekka Salonen: Principal Conductor Philharmonia Orchestra, Music Director Los Angeles Philharmonic, Composer–In–Residence New York Philharmonic

“Of course I’ve heard of the Wimbledon Concert Hall. Everyone in Europe is talking about it.  All the musicians want a great hall to play in when they come to London”

Louis Lortie, French-Canadian international pianist

“Concert hall projects are the most exciting for me - … I love the people, I love the challenge of it… I love music more almost than life itself.  Having someone come to me with a concert hall project, my eyes light up. I’m in!”

“I’d like to see this project get built.”

Frank Gehry

Inspiration, Innovation, In London

Creating a world-class cultural district in Merton

The hall would be a centre of excellence drawing people to, and complementing, other cultural offers along the Broadway and the local area as well as events such as the Wimbledon International Music Festival and the Wimbledon Bookfest. Our proposals involve a mid-size hall of 1,250 seats with world-class acoustics, flexible configuration and state-of-the-art IT and digital networking. It would be a world class music venue that would also offer huge benefits to the local economy.
